What started out as the usual bickering between Jim and Linda escalated when she persisted in claiming that he'd said "Linda arsehole..." as he went out to the garden, when he actually said "She's ****ing dug me out again, that Linda, after I'd just cooked her dinner."

She misheard the "after" as "arsehole" and repeatedly misquoted him as 'proof' of him being unreasonable. Without that happening, things probably wouldn't have boiled over to the extent they did...yet!!

It was somewhat dwarfed by what followed but it was annoying that BBBOTS didn't notice it either or chose to ignore it, regardless of who is right or wrong in the Jim vs Linda thing overall.

Probably because he had already shouted 'loony' at her and slagged her off in the garden. There didn't seem much point in splitting hairs.

Yep he never said that at all but meh most of the sites I have seen are running with it and actually posting that as a quote from Jim, even though we all watched and know he never said that.

tbf though we're listening to him on Tv with mics, it would be easy to mistake what he said for arsehole, I think she genuinely believed he said that. Although, I would be more insulted by him calling me a turd tbh

Linda had arsehole on the brain, as she was calling Jasmine an arsehole for her reasons for keeping her in the house, I think she might have said it twice or three times. I think she was very annoyed that she had been singled out along with Casey for Jasmines ire as she is the self appointed Momma of the house and thinks everyone bar Jim loves her.
