This always irritates me.
Someone might be talking about the death of a loved one, or some other tragedy, and they start crying. Nothing wrong in that - only normal. But then they will apologize and say 'sorry...' It's so annoying. |

What is worse is the presenter then inevitably saying (whilst touching them on an arm) no dont apologise it's quite alright
Instead of "oh FFS pull yourself together" |

Because we Brits aren't always comfortable with public displays of emotion.

I can understand people crying for a reason, but the ridiculous teary tantrums and outpourings of emotion we see at the drop of a hat gets on my pecs. Most of them are right to apologise.
