Just watching the Social Network now on Film Four and watched In Time last year and Justin Timberlake is great in both roles and watched Will Young in something a bit ago as well and thought he was pretty good

Singers that're good actors
Bowie was pretty great in The Prestige, and Labyrinth obviously.
Jared Leto... better actor than singer, really, although I think he was an actor first.
I suppose Bruce Willis deserves a mention since he had an album out before his first major roles

Actors who're good singers
There's a whole bunch of decent one-off pop songs to be said of Hilary Duff, Kate Winslet, Martine McCutcheon, Brittany Murphy...
Oh and Hugh Laurie's good at everything...

...hmmm, Kylie I guess...and Martine McCutcheon would be two soap actresses...and Jack Black, not the greatest of actors but an ok-ish comedy actor in some roles...Cher, she's been amazing in a few movies she's been in...Elvis of course was in a lot of movies, playing characters who were really him....and Barbra Streisand, she's had lots of serious movie roles and is a very good actress and an incredible singer...Whitney Houston has been in movie roles...

Jennifer Lopez,most of the names listed in this thread are talented really in both areas.

Also too Petula Clark,many straight film roles as well as musicals and also a hugely successful international 'pop' career too.

I think Kevin Spacey is way out there. He is a brilliant actor, a gifted singer and dancer, as well as an uncannily accurate impressionist, screenwriter, and director.
