Ratings for Celebrity Big Brother 2017 hit a high as Kim Woodburn is declared the 'saviour' of the series.


At the start of the month ratings for the latest run were the worst yet for a January run after a rather slow start to the new series.

Despite an all star line up there have been a few disappointments and things took a while to get going.

But the introduction of Kim Woodburn seems to have changed all that with her antics getting plenty more viewers tuning in.

2.1 million watched Wednesday night's dramatic show as security stepped in to split up a warring Kim from her fellow housemates.

It's up on last year's figure for the same show and up almost 500,000 viewers week-on-week, securing the show its best numbers since launch night.

The episode in fact peaked with 2.5 million viewers, 200,000 more than watched the opening of the series back on January 3.

Fans reckon Kim may have single-handedly saved the show, with one viewer claiming on Twitter: "Whatever you think of Kim, she has saved this series. We would all be moaning that it's boring without her. #cbb"

Another declared: "Kim's saved this series! #cbb"

And a third wrote: "Kim Woodburn just single handedly SAVED this series of #cbb #TVGold"

If she does go, it will be yet another crap result, all at the hands of VTS. I swear this is the problem this year and no good shouting crap back at me telling me I am mental.....just look at who has gone, end of rant.

She's no better than Bear, she just so happens to be an older lady so people accept her behaviour more, she's making the show borderline unbearable to watch, horrid woman, it would be a blessing if she left tonight, a blessing we'll unfortunately not be afforded.

Ok I get if you find Kim annoying, but her and Bear are nothing alike and I don't get why people keep comparing them. Kim is hard to live with, highly judgmental of others, and very defensive and always on guard. Bear intentionally tries to ruin people's living conditions in a house, is way more loud and repetitive of a housemate quality-wise, and lacks any human traits or kindness or depth whatsoever unlike Kim who has expressed so.

I think the figures plumed because they where \geordie shore viewers and wanted to se Chloe, I could be wrong but Pepper pig was on so that took out jedwards fan base and the rest are boring anyway.

You do realise Kim would go in a landslide if VTE was used for this series

Speidi have managed to intentionally keep themselves out of too much conflict, whereas Kim always gets involved with it. No way would they be out over her in VTE
