Jedward will be celebrating their dad's birthday next month after his recovery from a spell in hospital.


It was revealed last weekend that Jedward had left the Celebrity Big Brother house to sad news about their father.

The X Factor duo finished second in last Friday night's show, losing out to Coleen Nolan in the final vote.

But despite making it to the end and spending 30 days locked up in the house, there was little celebrating for Jedward after the final.

It had been reported that that the pair had news broken to them that their dad was ill in hospital with a mystery condition.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, the twins' dad had been in a "critical condition" in intensive care after being struck down by the illness.

And although housemates can get such important updates about family while inside the house from producers, it's said that he did not want to tell the boys.

Jedward's mum told the newspaper: “The last week has been very stressful for Jedward’s family.

“John Snr has been in intensive care. He insisted Edward and John must not be informed about his critical condition.

“He stated he would not jeopardise their chances of reaching the final as ‘there would have been legions of disappointed fans’.”

A week on, now the newspaper says that Jedward's dad is well enough to go home.

"The Irish twins say they will be celebrating with their father John Grimes Snr and the rest of the family at his birthday next month," the tabloid reported today.
