Does anyone agree that it was definitely not the right time for India to go into the house. She is so so self conscious about her new found body in a way even though she has showed it to the other housemates. Even though she should be extremely happy that at last she can live her life as a woman she is far too highly strung and sensative and even though Courtney is an ENTIRELY different entity she sees Shane/Courtney as kind of taking the limelight off herself. I liked her at the start but I really dont like her tears and isolation of herself. I think the best thing all round is if she is out Friday even if Jonny is a complete and utter snake And if she didnt want a negative answer she should never have asked Ginuwine would he date a transgender woman

I'm not sure. Maybe in the outside world she has not been as contended as she thought she would be. Maybe she has struggled for acceptance in the outside world so thought the best thing was to hit the issues head on in full view of the public. All i know with certainty is that something is not right and she needs counselling or something to help her get to a contented self, its not going to be resolved on a TV show.

Yeah kind of echoing BOTS thoughts really, she comes across as someone who is not happy in themselves or as themself and that's why she's so defensive I think, why the need to quiz people on whether or not they see her as a woman or would date her etc etc she's looking to be offended or insulted

It's a tough one to call because it's one on one, Jonny isn't even a factor I don't think it'll be those who don't like India against those who want her in for the drama, who will win? I think she'll probably go

Well I don't watch the programme Johnny is in, or his reputation as a love rat. All I can say is he seems a nice guy to me, and he's always smiling.

Hasn't caused any trouble yet, so I don't know why he's up.

But someone did mention they want him out because their daughter doesn't like Johnny which I thought was odd.

I FEAR India might stay. Shame she's not up against Ann, because then she would go.

I don't think she is on the verge of a breakdown, so probably the experience could help ground her/round her out. The problem is, she's resisting all of it by engaging in immature bickering and arguing over semantics. It's really her choice to get anything out of it at all.

I did say in the past that I think she has not finished transitioning internally as she is far too cognizant of appearances and seems to be caught up in other people's reactions. But, if she is generally immature and tends to lack self-awareness (again, superficial thinking), then there's not much more psychological work she could do to evolve upward if she is constantly trying to mitigate her neurosis by expecting everyone else around her to treat her like a crying infant. She'd then be more concerned about the symptoms of a problem rather than trying to address the cause of a problem instead.

She chose to go go on, so probably subconsciously she is looking for a way to be pushed out of that cycle. After all, we all tend to want to do things the hardest way when our minds are really set.

I really don't think this show is for her as she is not prepared at all. you are stuck with a bunch of people for a month or so of course if you start constantly asking them if they would date you and what they think about trans people etc they are gonna be uncomftable. I think she needs to become more secure in herself and maybe she will be okay once she has accepted herself as fully female

Yes I agree, if she never brought the subject up and just got on with things, I think she'd find her HMs are easily accepting of her, she's sabotaging herself by going on about it so much and making it a difficult subject or "thing about India" for everyone in there, so much so they're afraid to open their mouths to her for fear of saying the wrong thing or insulting her, unless that's actually her plan of course and what she really is after is airtime and attention, in that case she's doing a sterling job

I didn't watch when Kellie was in but I saw her on the news a while back apologising for being homophobic or something .

Lauren is it ? . Again didn't watch her year either in BB but I already knew what type of person she was , she's crazy and I remember on the morning show she was weird and argumentative with Philip & Holly .

Nadia from BB5 deceived her hm's by not being truthful about her gender assignment ,which annoyed me a lot and I didn't like her behaviour in the house. And Davina got too much pleasure when she kept revealing it to evicted hm's .

Good point Livia! Its not to do with being self conscious in India's case.

I wouldn't really put anyone who is in the process of transitioning or has only transistioned for a relatively short while into the house. I can't think of any transgender HMs that were still at an early point in their journey who weren't negatively affected by the experience, granted, I can only think of three (Kellie, India and Sam from BB7) but all three were negatively affected by it.

This is sort of how I feel about her too. That her issues aren't really related to her transitioning but just her general personality. When it comes to transitioning I'm not sure if it should be seen as a cure or some kind of 'happiness fix' because transsexuals will suffer from gender dysphoria their whole lives, SRS really is just a way of helping with it, but it doesn't actually cure it. So I do think it's understandable if she has issues surrounding that, but perhaps those issues are heightened because of her general personality, and having expectations that aren't entirely reasonable.
