i don't like the taste of pancakes at all, it seems to me that people have to put stuff on them to cover up the underlying crap taste

Crepes aren't supposed to taste of anything much, really... the whole point is that they're bland and you add various things to them, for a whole selection of tastes .

Sadly I forgot to get eggs and we only had one left, so there was only enough batter for the kids to have pancakes last night . I had all sorts of toppings, too. Lemon and sugar, nutella, maple syrup, strawberries and cream...
