On Super Bowl Sunday, Beyoncé announced her new album and shared the new songs “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ’Em.” Upon announcement, she called the album Act II, and she has now revealed the country album’s official title: Cowboy Carter.

Beyoncé has billed her 2022 album as Act I: Renaissance. And, ahead of the LP’s release, she told fans of a “three act project” that she “recorded over three years during the pandemic.” Cowboy Carter, of course, is the project’s second act.

Cowboy Carter is out March 29. With “Texas Hold ’Em,” Beyoncé made history as the first Black woman ever to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The song also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Beyoncé’s ninth chart-topper and first since “Break My Soul.”

Not massively keen on the name "Cowboy Carter" but I'm very excited for the album. Love country music and the two songs we've heard thus far are fantastic so I have high hopes for this one. Pre-ordered my copy on vinyl earlier.

I wonder where she'll be going for Act III next year? Rock? Jazz? Who knows!

Personally I'm not keen on either song.

I feel like Beyonce is better in her Pop lane.

I respect her for experimenting with her sound though.

It’s similar to the point I raised a few weeks ago where ANY publicity is regarded as good publicity these days .. I think Madonna was one of the first to show that is true

Very excited for this album. I'm a big, big fan of C&W music, have been since I was a young teen, so this is right up my street. The few snippets I've heard are fantastic!

…I love your art so much and this one captures her beautifully, I think that Bey would love it…..

…Texas Hold Em is such a nostalgic vibe, it just makes me want to get up and line dance like we did in a Saturday night …even though I never did on a Saturday night……it oozes that nostalgia feeling….
