Default The Perfect Neighbour - Netflix…

…such a shocking and devastating true life story told through police bodycam footage and interviews…

One woman. Dozens of 911 calls. And a close-knit neighborhood caught in a nightmare. What begins as one woman’s relentless harassment of children spirals into a shocking act of violence. Captured through gripping police bodycam footage, The Perfect Neighbor - Winner of the Sundance Film Festival’s Directing Award - delivers a hauntingly powerful experience that keeps you on edge from start to finish.

Just watched this actually.. way too one sided for me.. but the director was somehow related to the victim so that makes sense..

Still good all in all

…I know these type of Netflix true stories are one sided perspectives, they always are but that one side for me…?…often sparks that initial interest to look further into a story that I hadn’t previously known…it’s kind of a starting point and introduction to a true story for me…but I didn’t realise that there was a family connection with the director and victim, though…so thank you for that information…

…yeah I know…I was surprised that you’d given up on it…we were kind of the opposite in that I just thought that I’d check it out and the was totally gripped throughout…isn’t it weird/amazing/frightening and all of those things and more…that we can actually see these true stories play out with body-cam and cctv and all of those things/technology…as opposed to when we watched documentaries and it was all ‘witness statements’ type thing…

Not going to read any of your posts yet as I don't want spoilers but I'm going to try to watch this over the weekend

Spoiler:

I can't handle kids in pain, Ammi. This was too raw. Currently unable and to hold my tears at the part where they find out.

I agree I watch a lot of crime documentaries and it's a lot easier to handle when it's through witness and reporters eyes.

I think in general my attention isn't great where things seem out of sequence: the beginning seemed a bit out of sequence but once I understood what was going on I paid attention a bit more.

Spoiler:

…ahhhh, honestly don’t watch if it makes you feel upset…it’s a very difficult watch, obviously because of the events and that the son felt a sense of responsibility as mom had always said, tell me…/always come tell me…so that’s what he did, isn’t it…I found it difficult also in many places but I also…(as well as her story being told and the family needing that…)…hugely felt the support and live and whole community around those boys, that their mom had been that person who created that for them…she left them in great care and they would be looked out for, through their whole lives, I reckon…
