It could just be that Rosanne didn't realise the woman was black, so didn't know making the comparison could have racist implications.

Upon hearing the abuse, Goodes pointed the girl out to security who ejected her from the stadium.[22] After the game, Collingwood president Eddie McGuire apologised to Goodes on behalf of the club. Do you think it's a not insane comparison in this case? Ape is a word that is used pretty much around the globe to describe people often indigenous people so, for me, its always an insane comparison.
