Well if that's the only available info, the most likely scenario is that she fell (due to being heavily under the influence of drugs) and the other two people fled the scene because drugs were involved and they didn't want to end up stuck in a SE Asian jail for god knows how long .

Why?

If she simply fell it was an accident. Why should two people receive such a harsh penalty?
