Germany has been shockingly bad. This thing going from a reigning World Champion to being eliminated on the Group Stage is incredible and one of the worst collapses ever in WC history.

No they defeated Chile and Colombia in the knock outs and after that lost 7-1 to Germany in the semis and 3-0 to Netherlands in the bronze match.

Southgate has done a good job so far, but I feel like this tournament is more about rebuilding the squad and giving the team some credibility again after some shocking performances in recent tournaments, rather than winning the World Cup which definitely seems like an over-achievement if it were to happen.
