Yup, my mother has been going on about it for ages and I finally got round to it. Was totally hooked after the first episode. I don't like the new guy though, don't think he fits the role at all and the original guy was amazing. I watched s1 and s2 over the space of a couple of days, total binge watch I am struggling to get into s3 though and have been stuck on episode 6 for ages withou any urge to actually watch further, though my mother swears I will love the finale...so I will have to get round to it.

Still have gods of the arena to watch too. Which is apparently brilliant.

Yeah Gods is a really good prequel miniseries. I think they made it to accommodate Andy Whitfield's illness, assuming he'd recover and he able to reprise the role which sadly never happened. I liked Liam McIntyre too but Andy definitely was the definitive Spartacus, a massive shame that he died so young.

And yeah the final episode is brilliant. Very powerful ending to the show. Like you I enjoyed Blood & Sand and Vengeance more overall but I really loved the ending.
