...whilst I find this as abhorrent as everyone else and I don’t make excuses at all... Bury St Edmunds is my local town and there is nothing or very, very little for young people there...this surely has to be addressed finally because of this incident...?..it’s something that many of us have been screaming about for a long, long time and been quite vocal about it etc...how can it have ended up any other way when there is no focus, nothing for young people to get involved in, in the way of community and caring for their community and feeling a valuable part of it...and also social and entertainment distractions etc...there is also a complete lack of police presence atm to the point of some literally being told to ‘solve their own crime reports’ for some things...in the Bury St Edmunds parks and in the town centre there has always been an active police presence until the last few years and that’s so important to prevent...and it’s so important to have community police officers as well as help and guidance for young people...I just can’t with this government and their cutbacks...which for me have resulted in these things...this awful thing directed at this poor lady...
...awful, just awful... ...

Yeah many of us grew up in situations like this we didn't turn feral, sorry Ammi that is no excuse whatsoever, not having anything to do shouldn't mean you suddenly forget your morals or have no empathy or feel it is okay to assault a fellow human being, maybe they could do some volunteering somewhere I'm sure there is public transport out of Bury St Edmunds if there is nothing to do there
