Well apparently that was more recent after "falling off the wagon" etc.

I do feel bad for Demi Lovato though. She's a Disney kid (from a very young age), and frankly, so many of them seem to really struggle as they go into adulthood. I mean, a lot of child stars in general end up in trouble... look at Macaulay Culkin for example, who only just seems recently to be "coming back" to a healthy / normal life after being in real trouble since his teens. BUT Disney seems for some reason to have a much higher "percentage" of it's kid / teen stars going off the rails in their late teens and 20's. I think one probably has to question whether or not they're properly looking out for the health of their young stars.
