The NW highlands is the "Deep South of Scotland" to be fair. It definitely wouldn't happen in the "tourist highlands" (East coast / Inverness etc.)
Inverness is, however, absolutely full of junkies
. I think that's where the Loch Ness Monster myth came from. Some guy hallucinating whilst smacked off his tits.
