Ok Im from the US, so you guys can educate me if im wrong, but it seems to me as if in the uk most hit/high profile programming is scheduled at 9 at the latest, ends by ten, and that 10 pm shows are usually weaker . Could this all-at-ten move on the part of 5 be to avoid clashes with shows that are stronger? For example, maybe they want to avoid clashing with x factor and other big shows on sundays. The competition during summer is markedly weaker so given its a fall series avoiding stonger competition could be a good move. Certainly the audience share percentage, which is a key ratings measurement along with total viewers, will be higher for them in the 10pm slot. Avoiding competition has already paid off when they did it to avoid love island this year as CBB ratings have been growing throughout the series, and are significantly stronger than last years.

Plus, its also nice that BB is consistently on at the same time every night rather than being bounced around as ive seen them do in the past.

I agree Ch 5 have a lot to be desired but i dont think they are actively trying to sabotage the show success with this scheduling as some have suggested.
