Holly Willoughby has joked she regrets signing up to co-host I'm A Celebrity 2018.

ITV has confirmed it'll be Holly who fronts this year's series alongside Dec.

Dec's usual co-host Ant stepped down from TV commitments earlier this year and recently confirmed he would not be back on TV until 2019 after seeking treatment in rehab.

ITV have confirmed last month Dec will be joined by new co-host Holly for I'm A Celebrity this year.

Regular This Morning host Holly Willoughby said: “I couldn’t be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure. I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery. These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit... "

Dec said of the news: “I am hugely grateful to Holly for agreeing to accompany me to Australia this year. She was at the top of my list and I’m thrilled she said yes. It will be a different kind of series but we will try our best to ensure it is no less fun and eventful for our loyal viewers."

However, Holly has now admitted she may not be the best person for the role.

Speaking on ITV's This Morning, Holly said: "When I first found out it's exciting, bittersweet but exciting.

"The kids are coming with me so I had to talk to the schools then mum and dad are coming for a bit too. So when I sorted the logistics I then thought, 'There’s going to be spiders there!'"

She added: "Three things I'm not looking forward to - the eating something challenge. It's going to be horrible! The smells, I’m not good with smells! And when they come out with the stuff... What have I done?"

Co-host Phillip Schofield joked: "She’s scared of flies! And she’s going to Australia where there are all things!"

"It’s going to be a total disaster! It’s going to be hard leaving Phil," Holly admitted.

I'm A Celebrity will air on ITV in November.

yes it could be good fun, and also nice to see male/female hosting duo now, i already enjoyed the german i'm a celeb one, which also got male/female host duo

Sydney Youngblood was on that german version this year


also veteran schlager singer Tina York who became 3rd, which was very impressive i thought

She'll be irritating & silly , she get's squeamish too easily and she makes those vomit noises which i hate . I can't see her gelling well with Dec as a duo and i think it will be awkward and strange .

I still don't understand why they picked her , is Holly classed as ITV royalty or something? , she's already doing the morning show with Philip which is enough .
