Default Lewis : a wonderfully complex and fascinating housemate

I love him, because he knows he has flaws. He's being himself and i like that.
Yes sometimes he gets anxious and paranoid, but he's also able to laugh at himself and doesn't take himself too seriously.
I personally liked the way Big Brother was able to reassure him and calm him down. I thought it was great.

..BB are not what he needs to calm him though, imo..that level of anxiety and paranoia needs something beyond that and don’t need the validation of fascination or entertainment...crikey, it’s not even restricted to people and actions and suspicions etc...even sausages and make believe flight situations send him to anxiety and paranoia levels that drain him completely...Kay leaving drained him in his anxieties of what she might be saying...that’s not ‘great’ it’s upsetting for him and for those watching him struggle more and more...

I think Big Brother did great with him. They gave him a chance to calm down and realise that he can overcome this. And i think he can.

No one in there understands his anxiety issues, not even Cameron. I think when he feels like that he just needs to take a time out. Just like he did and it worked, he calmed down.

Vanessa, have you ever sat back and read your own post. He is a self admitted paranoid. He has manipulated situations to serve his own aims. He didn't lose sausages, he invented a scenario that would give him screen time. he only picks on defenseless women, he is a coward around men and even a wimp like Hussain scare him to bits. He acts a great game in the diary room and has an alter ego in the house. His game plays are calculated to gain him recognition, but sadly the only people he is fooling are a small majority of the GBP. His every action is calculated to gain camera time and his paranoia is just plain pathetic. To say he is a lovely man is a stretch, he is a fascinating man to watch, but there again, so is Mr Bean, but the difference between them is Mr Bean knows what he is doing, this mess of a man is in need of serious psychological help. For the time being im putting him down as a coward and an attention seeking mess.

whats so complex about his? he's a paranoid entitled mess. His behaviour has been so repetitive over the last 4 weeks and he really hasn't shown us anything new. Is this really what people consider to be complexed and fascinating??

You seem to be viewing a different programme to many others.

Why you look for such deep excuses to slate Lewis when it is pretty obvious he acts on whatever happens in the moment. Hence his going to the Diary Room to rant meditate and get over his annoyances.

He overthinks things, Yes, usually gets it wrong apart from not reacting to Lewis G and holds his hands up to it when it happens. He broods, rather than calculate, more about his treatment by others than manipulation of them.

He doesn't need to act to camera time, he gets it anyway because he is the most interesting housemate when the others are so dire. Have you heard any of them accuse him of it, They would know and say so.

Hussein couldnt scare a fly, be honest now, he is an itch that needs to be scratched, nothing more, no one in this world would be scared of him. Lewis suffered a sustained ridicule attack from Lewis G and he is adamant that it will not happen again from this twat. Who would blame him?

As for him fooling a small majority, well a majority is a majority however small. Lewis is on top of polls week after week with more people liking him than agreeing with your analysis. You can't beat a majority and fool all of the people, all of the time as the saying goes, especially when the reasons given for an opposite opinion are so easily refuted.

At least he isn't smoking, bitching and boring 24/7.

I missed his Diary Room rants, it's good we all don't like the same things isn't it?

Thought you said you were going to fast forward his bits.

Go on, you can't do it, but I don't blame you.

Let's face it, all this fascination is bc he's pretty
All the (mostly) female attention would disappear if it was, say, Tomasz who displayed this level of anger and cowardice.
But bc he is pretty that makes him "complex", "multi-layered" and **** knows what else.
As Ammi said, BB is not a good place for him. He gets triggered by anything and suffers which makes him even worse. Tbh, don't expect him to last full stretch unless they pussyfoot around him at all times. He's beginning to drain this series of any fun and laughter.

I like his contribution to the programme but my days of fancying anyone is long gone.

As there are many viewers who have been there from the start, 18 years on there are many others who would not view Lewis in those terms, both male and female.

You will get a section who will.

You will get another section who likes an underdog

You will get a section who goes for any bad boy or girl because they are exactly that.

What you cannot say is factually that all the support is just from those from the fancying section.

I disagree with the fact that Lewis drains the fun as I have laughed more at him, especially at his auction bids, more than anyone else.

One mans meat is another mans poison seems to be the case in this situation, long may it continue.
