Unrelated, but what even happened with the Emma/Seb/Faye love triangle they tried to push

They brought Faye back to stay for the summer holidays but now it's obvious she's back at school and we barely see Emma and Seb

Beyond a few exchanged glances between the three of them I don't remember anything noteworthy about it?

Not that I care, but I'm annoyed I can't remember the resolve (or if there was one... I don't remember Faye leaving either )
