Context matters but it's a little more complicated than you're making out (e.g. Golliwogs and blackface can pretty much be considered to be offensive, it doesn't matter if those doing it don't think it's "in a negative way").
That said, I think there should ALWAYS be room for satire (so long as it is actually satirical, and not mocking). |
