The Grenfell thing is in extremely poor taste and not funny at all. But story No.1 on the national news?
Have no ****ing idea what point you think you’re making?

Then allow me to clarify it for you. It's okay if they're burning someone you don't like and don't empathise or sympathise with. That's worth a laugh, right?

Otherwise it justifies top story on national news.

This is not the appropriate place for you to be confused about Guy Fawkes traditions ffs.

Did you intentionally quote that post? If so, I have no idea wtf you’re going on about either.

Guy Fawkes was part of a Catholic gang who concocted the Gunpowder Plot together. So apparently that means the tradition behind burning Guy dolls is actually burning Catholics?

Burning Catholics actually was a thing back in the day, but I don't think the burning of Guys is related to that.

Catholosism had a huge impact on this case.

No Livia, burning a guy Fawkes or taking the piss out of the tragedy of a burning building and throwing in a load or racism to boot. Are you being dense on purpose?

When you strip it all down and take away the politics and bollox, they put some paper on a bonfire.

Well, if they stripped it down and took away the racism and politics it would be a completely different situation. But it's not.

If they didn't include the paper figures, would it still be "racist"?

What political views did they express?

You don't think racism and the Grenfell Tower have anything to do with politics?

"If they weren't racist, would it still be racist?" is a meaningless comment.

Why are you (and others) trying so hard to defend it? Do you even believe this would be an okay thing to do without the racism? Or do you just wanna talk aimlessly about hypotheticals? Like where are you actually hoping to get with this hypothetical question?

Bizarre behaviour from some people in here.

Have you listened to the comments? This wasn't an innocent burning of a bit of cardboard

We can't give up our freedoms because camera phones have been invented. 1984 was a warning, not a manual.
