I laughed quite a lot at Shan going, and I'm glad she went . She took several songs that needed a lot of emotional connection to the lyrics and made them utterly soulless with a glazed half-smile on her face. It's not just about hitting the notes, it's about the singer feeling the lyrics and that coming through as well... Shan has a nice voice but absolutely no emotional depth. Which is fine if you're going to sing bubblegum pop songs but not singing about emotional pain and turmoil like this > Don't I has a nice voice tho ..

Most people will never acknowledge such thing. They think that if a singer can sing, and is vocally strong, then that singer has to win everything. For me, it's all about the performance and the performer. I care about his or her persona, the depth and the extras.

A & A are hardly the best vocalists in the competition, but there is something about them as performers (especially at young age, imagine what are they going to do in 10 years). And people can trash them all day long, they were never voted out by the public. And they were not in the Bottom 2 last night. So yes, in this format, they were in the Bottom 3 a lot, but that's how it goes in a 7-week-long contest.
