Ehhhhrrrrmmm OK so...
The things he said are totally unacceptable and the distress it's caused this woman shouldn't be underestimated. That part should go without saying, really. I also think it was handled badly by Ryanair in the sense that the squabbling should never have been allowed to continue for anywhere NEAR as long as it did and a member of staff should have stepped in as soon as voices were raised.
That out of the way...
I think it's not only possible, but actually fairly obvious, that this fellow is not playing with a full deck and early stage dementia is a very real possibility here, not just a random excuse. I would also say it looks to me that there's a potential alcohol issue here which would open up the possibility of Korsakoff, but of course that's an assumption purely based on his demeanor and appearance. Either way I find it fairly evident that he's not mentally 100% well.
I also think the idea that everyone on the flight should be delayed by 6 hours to remove him is actually laughable. Just no.
