ISIS/Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups, caused this tbh

that hatred towards muslims in general

very sad those terrorist groups themselves are a disgrace for their own religion, cause not all muslims are terrorists

Terrorists and extremists have caused hatred toward muslims, but what caused this attack is the person holding the gun.

No, this man caused this. Its noone elses fault. Normal people can see that everyday Muslims are not the problem. Bigoted violent idiots like this guy cannot. But nothing caused this but his hate. Honestly, I reckon even without the likes of ISIS, he would have found some 'reason' to do it. Don't put the blame elsewhere.

Have to disagree, you only need to read his manifesto to see that he was influenced by right wing ideology.

Its still his fault, regardless. Otherwise we could say that ISIS attacks are not the fault of the terrorists, its the fault of those making out the Quran says that they should kill all infidels..

I’m not saying it’s not his fault, but the constant islmaphobic fanning of the flames by the right wing media played a part in this

Yup. People like him will use any excuse. And yes, the excuses come thick and fast for white terrorists. Half the time, the news won't even use the word terrorist, and its just 'mentally ill man'

Oh yeah, played a part I understand. But many, all over are trying to make out it was someone elses fault basically, that he was lead by others, they corrupted his mind, etc etc. The mentally ill excuse is coming up a lot, like it always is when its a white terrorist. The excuses start almost immediately, placing blame elsewhere. Not suggesting thats what you were doing, but it..kind of gets my back up when people say it was 'someone/something elses fault'..because of this. Some things may well have influenced him a bit, even made him think that many would agree with what he did (and lets be honest, some ****ing will ) but the actual fault, lies with this ****ing violent bigoted idiot.

Yes ,it's much like knife crime people blaming the government etc,at the end of the day the person who kills is untimately the one who should be condemned, like this scumbag, but excuses will be made by some.

That’s like saying the Western World caused ISIS due to their involvement and innocent casualties in the Middle East.
