It has to many abbreviations like before christ, British columbia etc to be able to claim to be acronym.

I did, that's where I learnt what I just posted. It's about 8-1..to the abbreviation...bc has popped up since phones came into use..it's been an abbreviation for years and years and years and years.


I'm sorry, but I'm with arista and his delightfully weird ways on this one..it's txt spk, and needs eradicating from the forum...or at least sd.

Well in that case I think you should not be using SD but calling it by it's proper name of serious debates. If you want bc gone I think it only fair you have the SD abbreviation eradicated too because it could cause confusion.

Abbreviations are ok, and it is fairly obvious that SD means serious debate so it is used legally on this forum by intelligent posters to hurry the discussion along, it isn't used as a selfish tool of laziness like bc is when posters use it.
