It's not half of the US that is with him, it's well under half. It's not just illegals he wants to stop though. the democrats offered him a deal over a year ago tht would have provided fencing, more officers, better tech with drones etc. He turned it down. This is purely about his reelection campaign.

He's even saying that people can't seek asylum there anymore. Even you have to see the racism that drips from every pore of this walking wotsit.
