Yes, I underestimated Cheltenham. Really thought FG R would easily win title like Bayern or PSG with no competition. I really rate midfielder Jack Munns he might not have stature (neither does Messi) but he has power and great vision. He's definitely one of those non League players that could walk into a weak EPL squad like WBA, Sunderland or AVFC. Why don't the injury hit big clubs go for him or even a championship side? So many talented players in non League who with a bit of TLC and nurturing could play top level football. Bromley's Moses Emmanuel and Grimsby's Bogle are other non League players who IMHO are better than anything AVFC have to offer. Some EPL clubs missed a trick in January transfer window. These guys would contribute more than Radamel Falcao or Benteke who are just burning up cash on wages that could have gone on bringing in cheaper lower League players. Too much snobbiness especially in these lower league bargain bucket Vardy/Mahrez/ Kante times Dover going well, too. Agree, I hate it when two teams do well and there is only 1 automatic place. Imho a "Play off place" should be for #3 place downwards. Getting back into football league is a big deal, not just a lottery. I also feel bad for Hyde. Ok they were sh*te and deserved to be relegated but they could be relegated again. Sad times. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by alex_front2; 02-03-2016 at 04:58 PM. |

I tell you which non league player is getting attention from league teams such as Norwich, Leicester, Colchester United, Brighton, Huddlesfield: Ashley Nadesan a sensation playing Horley Town [combined counties league premier division] . He's 21, bagged 50 goals and is imho definitely better than a Cameron Jerome.
http://www.surreymirror.co.uk/Nadesa...ail/story.htmlhttp://www.surreymirror.co.uk/Nadesa...ail/story.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...ns-season.html Premier league sides, especially struggling ones need to take a few risks. Villa have a relatively big wage big in relation to their almost relegated league position. Villa and Newcastle tried buying proven quality and it's backfired and been financially costly. How would have taking a gamble on eager beaver non league starlet have made things worse? At worst AV go down, which they are anyway, their wage bill would be lower (non league players will take any amount as it's an improvement on their non existent non league wages - eg Chris Smalling is still massivley underpaid at Man U even though he left his non league days behind him at Fulham, but he's just happy being in EPL). Nadesan's been lazily labelled the "new Vardy" (isn't every decent non league striker now?). Too be fair he's pacy, tenacious with a cold deadly eye for goal. But he's more like a poor man's Robert Lewandowski for me and that's not a bad thing to be. Winchester's Warren Bentley is getting talked up too. Another product of Sotons world class Youth Academy http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35916899 I understand the big clubs want big names: Zlatan's, Poga's, Lukaku's, Griezmann's, Renate Sanchez's and Cavani's etc. But how will taking a punt on a non league player harm the cause? Why not have both big name and non league player. The non league won't moan like a baby when he gets zilch playing time as he's picking up crazy money (£1k a week is brilliant for an ex non league player ) and he will play with full throttle if he ever is called up to play. It's pi$$ed me off that Arsenal have snatched one of Leicester's fabled Scouts. It's these scouts who bring the non league and lower league fare such as Vardy and Mahrez to EPL. It's not as if Arsenal will want him to get the next Mahrez, so why did they hire him? To stop any crazy possible plan to turn Leicester into an empire. Spiteful really. That's good news.
Hopefully they can push onto League Two.
