44. Sky
Figures that I've had to cut both of PI's Final Two. Anyway, Sky, like Shawn, is someone who I SORT OF like, in fact considerably more than i do Shawn, but she sadly pales in comparison to all the other nominees. And even though she's pretty by-the-book in personality, still a good, even great character in my eyes.
She's most well-known for the will-they/won't they/absolutely never should they pairing with Dave, which got a lot of backlash, but I can't really gather why. Yes, Sky takes advantage of Dave and isn't honest with him, and it does cause him to act way too over-the-top, but I found all of that really entertaining, and livened up an already fairly lively season. Sky is manipulative, somewhat selfish, and can get critically competitive, but that doesn't make her a BAD person. Here was a protagonist with lots of goals and visions to empathize with, but for the first time in the show, was stomping on others in her way to get there. That makes for a great character. Now granted I don't think Sky was a GREAT character. Up until Dave is out, she does sort of rely on him to make a presence, and even after he's out, she relies on Sugar, but both of those interactions are among my favorites in the show and Sky worked as a great straight-man to the two craziest members of the cast. When I rewatch PI, the unpredictability of Sky being slightly too cutthroat kind of loses its edge and she ends up looking like a pretty basic character, but she's simple enough to be worth tolerating and most of the time enjoying. But when a noms pool has Duncan and Geoff and Sugar and Stephanie and Carrie and Devin and Dwayne to choose from, it's suddenly easier for me to cut her.
Sky Confessional: To eat that entire cup (of barf) and NOT? WIN?! UGH! I HAVE *NEVER* BEEN THIS *ANGRY* BEFORE!
Dave Confessional: Heh heh. Didn't win immunity but I DID beat SKY. This is the perfect time to rub it in a little

*gets in Dave's face*

*collapses to the floor*

*walks off*
