In the trailer it's snowing in the Godswood when Jon wields his sword. I think that's when and where he faces the Night King.

I don't think it will be him that deals the fatal blow. Could be Arya with Gendry's spear. Or Dany and her dragons avenging the death of Viserion. Or Sam being reluctantly heroic again. Or Bran doing some weird stuff.

If "big characters" are those whose actors are featured in the opening credits we lost 3.

Whether they were fan favourites is debatable.

We lost some minor characters too, some of whom could fit the fan favourites description.

So the deaths of the battle were:

- Gilly
- Melisandre
- Lyanna Mormont
- Jorah Mormont
- Theon Greyjoy
- Beric
- Eddison
- Qhono

Have I missed anyone? Quite a few we’re very injured and so one could die post battle I don’t know?

This is no longer a spoiler as it’s aired on UK TV before anyone complains (it’d be your own fault for entering the thread after its aired not only in the US and worldwide, but UK also)
