I sincerely hope most weren't, although Tati seemed to be aware (but never encouraged his behaviour, was repulsed by it, and wanted him to get help - I don't blame her for being loyal to a friend), so I can only imagine some of his friends are also feeling a bit trapped into a friendship with him despite how awful he is

It was seeing Tana pipe up and call Gage a sociopath which was worrying. If she stood by him despite his faults, sure, but she got involved, validated James and his actions, and tried causing **** with Gage which was repulsive
