Isnt this thread completely pointless then if you already decided the entire history of British culture is 'bull****'?

There is culture from all of the countries in the UK combined, arts, architecture, industry, music, food.....

The 'loss of British culture' - a very relevant debate given Brexit - is a debate I have personally witnessed descend into ignorant xenophobia with no one really declaring what is being lost. We hear 'Identity' etc but who can explain what that means. I think this is a very relevant thread and the fact it is descending into something of a farce shows how this point it often brought up but is so difficult to define.

I agree with the thread being a relevant debate had it not been created by someone who has no interest in anyones 'bull****' opinion and posted that.

The point is that culture by its nature is a mish mash of everything. When people complain we're "losing British culture to foreigners" without realising the "culture" they're referring to is bits and pieces taken from around the globe in the first place.

....I don’t think we’ve lost anything/any aspect of what we would think of as culture...I think we’ve become more inclusive and more tolerant as time has gone on...or at least I thought we had but now it’s feeling more regressive...
