I'm not going to watch it - I don't particularly care either way about London, I'm not a city person.

She cracked me up from the moment she said 'Its not like the old days, everyone knew everyone' or whateverthe****** she said at the beginning. Lets not put that lady on Tv again cuz I dont think she speaks for anyone. She was just an embarrassment.

...thing is nothing is like ‘the old days’ for anyone and everyone looking back on their childhood and it’ll be the same for our children and our children’s children and on it goes and on it goes...it’s not a cultural thing, it’s just ever evolving and changing landscapes and people, which every neighbourhood needs...

Agree. You hear it all the times people wanting to go back to some bygone era where there was some kind of racial Utopia. The following timeline says otherwise.

1968 - Enoch Powell Rivers of blood speech
1979 - Thatcher rises to power on the back of a speech where she said this country is being 'swamped' - her exact words - by people from oversees.
1981- Brixton and Toxteth riots.
1985 - Murder of PC Blakelock
1993 - Murder of Stephen Lawrence.

I'd like to know when was the period when everyone was getting on

...it is just how times change in general...as a child..?...my relationship with people in my street/neighbourhood was not the same as my sons’ childhood relationships with our neighbours ...and it’ll differ vastly if they have children as well..it really is just necessary changes over decades...but yeah it was touched on in the vid by the Asian guy who was fifth generation...the derogatory terms which had been used to him through his life from when he was a child, which is something my sister in law..(as a Sikh) has experienced through her life also...

what is that random and totally biased staccato timeline meant to do?

I have watched half of it, the white family aren’t sitting well with me we stick to our own, it was interesting what the Osman said about his children not experiencing British culture, Tony was an interesting watch as well, will watch the rest later

A few of that family seemed OK but the one lady who had too much to say embarrassed herself, unfortunately.
