Such a sad story, why couldn't the greedy bitches just share the proceeds of the house sale

....’The battle is being fought on a little-used 94-year-old law, with the most famous case of its type dating back to the Battle of Britain when a family was wiped out by the same bomb.’...I’m guessing that each sister’s legal representative is encouraging of their ‘battle’...it’s very sad and maybe it represents their relationship before their parent’s deaths..maybe the irony will be that most if not all of the legacy will go to legal representatives....

Can’t they get finger prints from the card that was opened on the 7th?
That would surely determine who opened it?

...the couple died of hypothermia.....did the daughters not visit them and know the conditions they were struggling in...the wife was immobile and her husband was obviously struggling to care for her...there were no carers visiting..?...and the house was found in disarray as if there had been intruders/burglars..?...it’s all very strange and I would say needs lots of questions asked...that would surely be the priority before inheritance thoughts...

After paying for solicitors they should split it between the three of them.
Sad sods, tarnishing their parents lives and deaths with this greed.

...it’s always very sad but I do think in this case it may be that the ‘step’ has much to do with it..in that there may never have been any connection whatsoever and there may have always been animosity etc...so their deaths together like this would just heighten all of these things...

This sounds very likely Ammi.
We bought our bungalow from feuding step siblings, they were desperate to sell it quick before one of their parents died.
Both ill and in nursing homes, hopefully the money would be spent on their parents care and well being.

If any of my siblings did that I’d very happily let them keep the money if that’s really what they wanted from the death of our parents, reading that story it’s clear to see that neither of them bothered with them when they were alive, classless, money-grabbing bitches.

..yeah I do know of some real life step siblings who have no connection whatsoever..and who have always more had a mindset of being enemies...families are just so complicated, Smudgie ...but yeah, I would say there are a lot of questions to be asked with the deaths of this couple...

I mean we get it, you fall out with your parents and want nothing to do with them, but that shouldn't change once they die, you don't swoop in then picking over the bones, both vultures.. they obviously could care less that they died from hypthermia or that someone had been in the property after or before their deaths

...well I’m sure each ‘battle side’ has its supporters and encouragers as well and the legal teams are win/win as well so...everything about this just seems very wrong and very sad and very strange...but all we have is a very tiny bit of some whole life stories...and lots of questions...

I always find people are at their worst when money is at stake, money grabbing greedy sods ,as others have said just pool it together and split it

None of them should get the house, basically they both died from the cold, not one of those scub bags was in regular contact with the parents to check on them and make sure they were safe and well.

It seems like they weren't that interested when they were alive. Worried neighbours called the police... The last time the man was seen alive was a week before he died. How come some people only become interested in their elderly relatives when there might be some cash in it.

Hope they get nothing. And if they do get the money, I hope it brings them no happiness at all.

reminds me of when my dad's sister died, their brother who they literally have and had no contact with, suddenly showed up at her funeral, really greedy for the enheritance (even if it's just a small amount)

greed can sometimes bring out the worst in people and it shows here too with those Step Sisters
