I don't get why anyone is surprised.
I'm not. The last 2 PMs wanted to bring back foxhunting. Had they got big majorities they more likely would have. It's the baying element of some of really only the Conservative party who want this back. That's why he's mentioned it, this audience he's trying to get votes from, has numbers who want it back. No matter what, there would have been no ban on it had Labour not won in 1997. Near all the Labour party and other Parties, hate the very idea of it. Except for the awful Kate Hoey. There's only one Party that ever now thinks of even holding a vote to bring it back, and that is the Conservative Party. Even to a current leadership contender. Why is anyone surprised at that.
