Labour won't vote in favour of no confidence against Boris. Their priority is blocking no deal, and that could be put in jeopardy with a snap election.

I think they should wait for an election. Focus on getting a deal first.

Remaining under a new government is literally the only thing left.

We can have another referendum so the last few remaining remainers don’t have riots.

It’s literally the only rational conclusion to this mess at this point.

there isn't a solution now that can be acceptable. If there were a GE and one side got a majority and forced something through, it still wouldn't be the end of it. The only thing we can do now is minimise damage and that requires a majority of mp's to compromise over a route forward when no-one is in the mood for compromise.

An election will tell us nothing, the country was and still is split right down the middle, it's sad.

Actually painstakingly horrible to watch. At a time when we need to pull together as well, it's shamefully that people have held up an effigy of Trump in the form of a big balloon and that effigy has been worshipped like the side of a bus by a hypocritical shambles, a self rightious bunch of hypocrites, who scream and shout at anything they oppose...including old black ladies preaching God on the streets of London as they passed her in thier hundreds...

Absolutely shameful that people's heads are being stretched to breaking point by all sides, emotions being played on is the worst form of politics apart from the lib Dems in the 70s early 80s..

The people could vote Nigel Farage into number 10. If they wanted to, they might see it as the more peaceful way about going about things.

A soft brexit deal would pass in parliament and may win a new referendum

The leave side overplayed their tiny win. Theres no way a 51.9% result justifies a hard brexit. Hence the resistance.
If May had gone above party politics she'd have had a soft brexit deal passed a year ago.

In order to shut both sides up we need an any-old-deal Brexit at this point that takes the Irish situation into account and allows trade to keep flowing even if it's bare minimum / costly, which will appease Brexiteers, let the situation calm down so that people crawl back under their rocks, and then quietly push through a complete customs union that's as close to full membership as possible. Most Brexiteers won't even notice so it'll be fine

Brexit must be delayed at this point, we are not ready and the government is in disarray.

Delay Brexit, have another election and then they must decide. Nobody that possesses a modicum of inteligence wants no deal and so Parliament must agree to the compromise that is the current deal.

I agree; that comedy trump balloon is exactly the same as people trying to force a no deal through that the government decided it needed to stockpile body bags for, in preparation. Those 2 things are inseparable from each other.

Was the stockpiling of bodybags on the side of a bus?

Or on the front of the daily sport?

My choice would be Starmer for a caretaker.
If another tory minority then idk, after the purge not many serious people left.
Maybe Javid?

Nah, just the base scenario written by the current government that they tried to hide. No biggie, keep up these false equivalences though.

No, unfortunately that's a very real situation, unlike the lies on the side of the bus, sadly
