A veteran of Boris Johnson’s political campaigns has resigned as a Downing Street political adviser as tensions rise between former Vote Leave members and ex-City Hall factions around No 10. Alex Crowley, who worked on Johnson’s Tory leadership campaign, two mayoral campaigns and wrote a book about him, quit last week after just weeks in the prime minister’s political unit. Crowley’s exit came as several sources with knowledge of No 10 suggested that there is an atmosphere of feuding inside Johnson’s administration. The Guardian

That was really unprofessional of GMTV this morning to interfere with his interview with the BBC.

'Johnson says the UK has agreed that there should be an all-island area in Ireland for agri-foods. This would mean*Northern Ireland*being bound by EU sanitary and phytosanitary rules. That is a big concession from the UK, he says.' This is a quote from that interview this morning I found significant, essentially what he is proposing is the borders be pushed off Ireland entirely. ..meaning not that there won't be a border. .. there will still have to be one, it will be here instead. Do I think that Johnson is doing this because he wants higher phytosanitary standards than the EU?.... No. https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_custom...equirements_en https://www.theguardian.com/politics...rter-live-news

Well it was hardly worth waiting for. Just more vague avoidance and pure waffle. Sometimes I wonder if he really has any idea at all. How I wish a presenter would press and ask if these 20,000 police officers are EXTRA to the thousands who will be retiring in the next 3 to 5 years. Those still being replaced with these 20,000 being really added on top. Doesn't seem like a question the government wants to clarify. Last edited by joeysteele; 01-10-2019 at 07:40 AM.

Well that's all he's been saying since becoming PM. No point in really interviewing him yet then. Last edited by joeysteele; 01-10-2019 at 07:41 AM.

He's going to do it again!! :/ (From the LBC interview) Will you prorogue parliament again? Johnson says, to have a Queen’s speech, it is necessary to prorogue. He says he will have to check the judgment to see what is possible, but he thinks prorogation is possible. He says there will be a Queen’s speech. Johnson says Queen’s speech will go ahead.' https://www.theguardian.com/politics...rter-live-news

IF he's determined to have a general election at latest in November. What on earth is the point of the pomp of a Queens speech, which will then be likely irrelevant by a general election possibly a week or a few weeks after it. Especially when it's becoming unlikely he'll even get most, or all of any Queen's speech passed by this Parliament anyway. . Last edited by joeysteele; 01-10-2019 at 08:36 AM.

Exactly arista , the way GMTV seem to think they are entitalled to his undivided attention , apparently he was walking towards them but his crew pointed him in a different direction ,plus who really would want to be interviewed by GMTV with that insufferable Susanna interrupting all the time and not letting people speak, he would be better doing an interview with Piers one on one.

They don't want even professionals with indefinate leave to remain .... There will be provision post brexit to ship in professionals with extendable work visas. And if that sounds like modern day slavery, that's because it it.
