I feel like the judges need to do a better job of judging on the whole. Their decision is always based upon the final task where they cook a 2 or 3 course meal in the masterchef kitchen - which makes all the preceding tasks pointless.

Same as in the heats - the wednesday episode was completely useless (with the wall task, and the cooking in canteens) because theres actually no reward or consequence to it, theyre just cooking for the sake of it.
