I think Peston has it right.
I like the 'he wants to be seen as ..... ' bit rather than he ' will' be seen as ..... Not surprising that I heard or saw nothing new. Or inspiring either. |

DUP supports the New Deal.
Juncker has spoken on the Phone to Johnson PM and it has some Positives. Meanwhile Labour Leader Corbyn has Demanded Johnson PM goes to Parliament tomorrow to Explain all this. How can the N Ireland assembly endorse this when it's not operational.
It hasn't sat for almost 3 years. The DUP always stated they wanted nothing different for N Ireland,.than for the rest of the UK. Of course their power is fading. It's worth looking at definitely, will it get the support of ALL 27 EU Nations. It needs every one on board. What is the view of Sinn Fein?. Their opinion here matters as much as the DUP. Let's see how it progresses of course. At least something has appeared which needs considering certainly. Also however really going through it with a very fine comb too. This is one extremely untrustworthy and devious PM. On the face if it, I'd prefer the May/ EU agreement. However if it's acceptable to the EU. Especially the Republic of Ireland. It's welcomed ( cautiously) by me. |

The deadlock is only because the government and the last 2 Prime Ministers.
Have chosen confrontation over consultation. Also rejecting real compromise for being the most uncompromising anyone could be. |

Don't get too excited arista.
It still amazes me anyone accepts polling at face value. The margin of errors on polling are much larger now. Even that poll with just a small change of 2% here and there, still could indicate another hung Parliament. No Brexit party MPs. More Lib Dem and less Con and Labour ones. Another just about likely deadlocked parliament. Last edited by joeysteele; 02-10-2019 at 06:43 PM. |
