But that's my point. Forget about the 'cis' thing for a minute. You wouldn't introduce yourself as a 'woman' in your circle of friends let alone 'cis woman' so it's really not especially relevant.

There are many names/labels for things/people etc in this world that are only relevant at certain times/in certain discussions etc and that's literally all it is. A distinction when discussing trans topics.
