It opens the map/menus for swiping in different directions in Days Gone and I hit it by accident CONSTANTLY, to the point where it was completely unplayable until I stuck a cut out piece of an old credit card over the touch pad
. You could access all the same menus by pressing it and then scrolling through them with L1/R1 like any other game! Pointless gimmick.
