Maybe, hopefully, we have woken up to what all this over consumerism is doing to the planet.

Or we're all fat bastards who are increasingly comforting ourselves with delicious snax and Netflix binges instead of retail therapy . It's why pubs/bars are doing worse year-on-year as well.

To be fair, I never buy anything really . Food obviously, clothes when I need them, games when one I want comes out & tech upgrades when needed which is maybe one larger spend a year.

Though the number of completed "free coffee" cards in the car suggests I must spend about £500 a month on McDonalds flat whites
