I don’t think this was the perfect song for you guys I’m afraid. It has the energy it needed but the vocals were slightly lacking. 6/10

Viva Melody - Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word, by Blue
Sorry, but this was a big cringey for me and I know you can do better than this. 4/10

The Flavour - Maps/Counting Stars, by Maroon 5/OneRepublic
Wow, wow, wow, you’ve just set the bar for tonight! 9/10

Things That Glitter - About a Girl, by Sugababes
This was a great performance. Next week I’d like to see you as more of a cohesive group, but besides that this was amazing! 7/10

Boys Allowed - Flying Without Wings, by Westlife
Cringefest! Completely the wrong song for you guys. 3/10

Girls R Fun - Wannabe, by Spice Girls
Terrible name, and a predictable song choice. 4/10

Pick n Mix - Pure and Simple, by Hearsay
This doesn’t fit the song brief. 1/10

Radio Mix - Holding On For You, by Liberty X
This doesn’t fit the song brief. 1/10

The Zone - Don’t Cha, by Pussycat Dolls
Despite a few dodgy vocals here and there, I really enjoyed it and you have definitely proved yourselves in this competition! 9/10

Hip Funk - Bills, Bills, Bills, by Destiny’s Child
Wow! That was showstopping! I knew stripping it back and showing of your vocals would be perfect for this opening show and it payed off! 10/10

Ryan and Emily - Bye, Bye, Bye, by *NSYNC
Contrary to the other judges, I really enjoyed this arrangement! 9/10

It’s a very predictable song choice for the theme, but it wasn’t too bad. I’d like more group cohesiveness next week. 6/10

Vocal Beat Club - Strip, by East 17
I’m sorry but this just didn’t cut it, you really didn’t suit this song. 2/10

Western Heroes - Scared of the Dark, by Steps
This doesn’t fit the song brief. 1/10

4th Love - By the Way, by Red Hot Chilli Peppers
This was an average performance, I’m not sure how much you guys go together or if the song worked. I’d need to see you guys again to make a decision. 6/10

so i had a clear vision in mind with that song choice, so getting marked that harshly upsets me
