Yes, and to put out in their statement that they will keep Frogmore cottage as a base when in the UK without even asking the Queen first shows how arrogant and self entitled they are. It belongs to the Queen, dearies, and refurbished with OUR money.
They kindly say they will give up the sovereign grant (5% of their income) so they can be 'financially independant' which they are not allowed to do when getting that grant, and earn their own money - which is why they have trademarked hundreds of items from socks to hoodies. They can go for many other ventures like getting paid millions to give speeches like Blair and Cameron and millions more to attend glossy celeb galas.

But they assume they are keeping the 95% of their income from the Duchy of Cornwall and their high cost security, paid by the taxpayer, wihich is likely to double. WTF?

How tacky and arrogant can they get?

I don't know why people are up in arms about them living off, basically, their inheritance. That's why the Royals are rich, they all inherited it.

Well, obviously, that's not on. But the tirade of abuse didn't come until later when she got a backlash.

Not saying her backlash was justified, however there's a difference to the press turning on you due to your own actions (regardless of if the backlash was out of proportion) and the press just having it out for you from the off because you're clearly not wanted. This is a woman who can't touch her own stomach without it being construed into some outlandish scheme.
