IE had a bad rep for years. They made a decision to create a new browser to compete with Chrome.
Even that hasn't worked and the new version of Edge is based on Chrome technology.
It's one of those things. Can't be helped
You need to make a leap and stop relying on an obsolete software or you will get into all sort of trouble like diminished usability or security issues.

what do most of you use then?

i chose google chrome as my alternate web browser to microsoft edge now

Firefox i have horrible experiences with before, few crashes


my mom, dad solely use Edge, my dad is against google chrome (thinks it's slow), Firefox (untrustworthy)

It really doesn't make that much of a difference which browser you use as long as it's actually supported. Just pick one and use it. All youtube videos load instantly for me on whatever browser I've ever used, so if that doesn't happen for you it's not the browser's fault, must be your connection.
