And no, it doesn't take 57 years to find out that you are gay. But for some, and in this instance, Philip, it takes that length of time to feel comfortable enough with your sexuality that you no longer feel the need to hide it.

Very, he is not the first gay to come out, but he has lived as a straight man for 57 years. like many have said being gay is not a choice it’s who you are.

Plus being gay does not automatically make you a nice person plenty of cases of gay men with wives and families shagging men in secret.

Its worth remembering that its only in the past 20 or so years that being gay has been so widely accepted, so people of Phillip's generation were more inclined to supress these feelings and keep it secret.
