I don't know what writers were were thinking with Spike, he was a great strong character. Then the chip in the brain storyline. Him getting a Buffy robot
just got silly.
Then him & real Buffy hooking up was a mess ,and even worse when Anya tried hooking up with him to hurt Zander .
They sort of made him a pathetic character with no use in the end
