Pretty sure the producers really did set up the "Latrice vs Monique" thing and edited it out as if one of them was going home. Ru knew from the beginning Latrice was coming back regardless, it was all for show. No way he would have missed the opportunity of having one of the biggest face of the show not lipsyncing against the queen who sent her home.

If Naomi ever did something worth of winning, it was her lipsync against Monet. She really embodied the song and added an extra dimension to it. Against Gia she was better than her, but it wasn't outstanding (even though that thing she did going down on the floor was impressive tbh). Gia was on AS4 so Ru can say he casted a trans person, and for added drama Gia could bring.
