It's going to be impossible to please everyone so they should make a decision based on health and safety and then protection of income. People forget that the football league is basically ****ed without regular gate receipts so restarting behind closed doors is a non starter for them. I still maintain that a significant number of clubs will go out of business and then the competitions have lost integrity anyway.

It gets more ridiculous at each suggestion tbh

And some will tell us scrapping the league then starting again, without any idea whether you can play half a season nevermind a whole one, makes more sense than playing 9 games of a season already 3/4's completed

What about euro 2021

What about it? Cancel all international football until it's properly contained rather than being managed. if the Euro's go ahead, then so will the American and african versions, where social distancing is a lot harder for the players to be isolated because you're automatically mixing them with different players.

That’s certainly a long , sprawling, third sentence . New sentences should start with a capital letter and you’ve used questionable punctuation throughout.

Mmmmm .. it’s not so pleasant having your posts scrutinised , is it ?

It's funnier that you think I give a crap. Most people on here would accept that my grammar is decent when it needs to be. However, if you're going to pick on someone else's grammar, you need to make damn sure yours is perfect because that post is a mess; you don't even know where to place commas ffs.

Then perhaps don't try and jump on other peoples grammar if that's something you have issues with? If you need any help with any spelling or grammar, then feel free to PM me about it (that's genuine, not me being a smart ass)

I wonder if anyone has suggested added-on time multi-ball yet, haha.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52635005

“Tackling will be banned, pitches disinfected and players restricted to groups of five when the Premier League starts a first phase of team training.”

Hey guys. It’s not safe for you to tackle each other(except for when you actually have to play official games. **** the risks then.

What I find funny is Broghton were dead against neutral grounds then when they was told it was happening they had a player test positive.

Their final games including 6 against the top 8 which is suspicious

They will be able to see how the Bundesliga goes, which is coming back this weekend, with safety precautions, and base the decision to restart based on that.

The sooner that closed-doors games come back, and is proven not too be a big risk, the earlier that clubs can sell tickets again - which lower-league clubs depend on more (than PL clubs) for their existence.

Do you see this as short term?

I'd be amazed if stadiums with crowds return before a cure is found.

It's going to blow up again massively with the Europe wide easing that's going on at the mo.

I've no idea. I heard some governor or someone in America who said that mass-attendance sporting events and concerts wouldn't happen this year.

However they are talking about opening cinemas earlier than that, and I'd have thought that would be higher-risk.

I think it is as much about people feeling safe. Closed-door events would be the first step towards spectators being let back in, but I don't how long it would be after that.

i don't know how its going to work. If a single player in a team tests positive then its likely that fellow players and staff and maybe some of the opposing team will need to self isolate

As James said, the premier league will get their TV money, but what do all the other leagues do without crowds. I think part of the reason they don't announce a definitive decision is that they know it will be the end for so many teams and they would rather they go out of business "naturally" than off the back of an announcement

Clubs need to stay thinking about what there can do one thing is all season tickets holder get to view game online there have log in but that one thing smaller clubs could do

The restart has been given a boost as only 6 players tested positive out of 748
