Can't speak to the voracity of this pic on it's own merits, but I definitely remember the pro NYPD rallies that happened after the Erc Garner case where Cops and cop supporters were wearing the same "I can breath" shirts.

I think I am correct in stating that the policeman in question is innocent until proven guilty by law. So can we put alleged "murderer"or better the accused officer?

This isn't a street mob chat it's SD. You can't say the officer acted illegally when at the same time condemn him without a proper trial. It's illogical.

"My job in the end is to prove he violated a criminal statute. And there is other evidence that does not support a criminal charge. We need to wade through all of that evidence and come to a meaningful decision and we are doing that to the best of our ability."

I think you're a little caught up in the legalities there LT; people aren't condemning him for acting illegally, they're condemning him for acting immorally. By kneeling on a man's neck until he died. If there was no such thing as "law", this man would remain morally abhorrent.

On the same note, it's a perfectly valid opinion to believe that the legal system is flawed and that legal conclusion doesn't necessarily reflect justice being served.

In fact, as ultimately it's a system of human design, it would be downright foolish to believe that the legal system of any country is beyond question.

I'm not advocating mob rule or vigilante justice, just pointing out that people are allowed to hold the opinion that this man is a piece of garbage, regardless of the legal conclusion.

I know police officers, I know prison officers, I don't know (and don't want to know) anyone who would deliberately kneel on someone's neck as a restraint option.
